Academics

Praxis Elite Sports Academy

We are a community of student-athletes who strive for excellence in all areas of life. Our students are empowered to dream big, set goals, and work hard to achieve them. We believe that academics are just as important as athletics. Our curriculum is designed to foster critical thinking, creativity, collaboration and teamwork. When we say we are student-led, project-based and utilize Socratic-style teaching methods, it is methodical. Using these educational philosophies, our students are able to collaborate and motivate each other outside of the athletic space.

At Praxis Elite, our students spend two periods per day on academics as well as two periods per day on athletics. Students will take common core classes in Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Studies. Our focus is to make every second of the day productive and honed-in on the students as individuals. We use a unique learning model that blends Montessori-inspired mixed age classroom model with new world modern technology to provide our students a curated and individualized learning experience. Students are able to work at a pace that suits them with their individual learning style and their own personal interests taking center stage in their education. For our 8th+ students, not one second of the day is wasted on redundant work, so that students can dedicate time to their athletics pursuits without sacrificing a quality education.

At Praxis, our core mission is to instill “Unshakeable Confidence” in our students. We prioritize mental, social and emotional wellness for all staff and students. We are committed to being a leading middle school for athlete development, career exploration and personal development, producing leaders who inspire and uplift others in their chosen sport and in life. Our program includes its signature “Field Day Friday”, where students gain real-life experience in a multitude of modalities: career shadowing, taking hands-on science classes, breaking down game film with their coaches, or spending time bonding as a unit and developing leadership skills; Fridays are spent on student-designed projects, field trips, restorative practices and personal development.
